Information for Stations
important Notice:
It is with deep regret that we must inform you Discovery Now was unable to procure funding for the production of new episodes in 2011.

Knowing this to be a potential circumstance, the 7 remaining Bundles (to the right of this page) consist of Discovery Now segments with content that is broad enough to rebroadcast if you so choose.

Thank you, to each and every station that has supported Discovery Now over our four years on the air and for helping spread a little science across this great nation.

Discovery Now takes your listeners on a journey through the newest advances from NASA and the aerospace community with radio segments featuring highlights in aviation and space technology, science, history, innovations, research, and inventions from the aerospace industry, worldwide.

Broadcast on radio stations across the United States and internationally in New Zealand and the Philippines, these 90-second features continue to pick up airtime throughout.

With a generous grant from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Discovery Now produces 240 90-second interstitials annually, released on a schedule that can support a new spot every weekday through the year (Monday through Friday). Written and produced by the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA) each segment is geared toward the general radio listener and explores how scientific and technological developments are impacting our world.

Add Discovery Now to your daily programming NOW. Distributed by WHRV Norfolk, VA, the Discovery Now radio program is available to your radio station at no cost. Each segment can be posted and podcasted from your station’s website. Since its first air date in 2007, Discovery Now has become WHRV’s Number One (#1) downloaded podcast each month.

AIAA 2007 President Roger Simpson:
"The positive impact of aeronautics and astronautics technologies is felt by each of us everyday. We believe Discovery Now will highlight those benefits and provide the public with a glimpse of exciting future advancements. We commend NIA's leadership in developing and producing these thought-provoking segments that are both educational and entertaining. They are certain to raise awareness of the aerospace community and will help capture the imagination of future engineers and scientists that may be listening."

NIA President and Executive Director Bob Lindberg:
"We are grateful for the very generous financial support from AIAA which has enabled us to implement our vision, and for WHRV's support for the distribution of this new program. With encouragement and support of NASA and the aerospace community, our hope is that Discovery Now will bring the latest advances in aerospace down to earth for the listening public."
